Hi! I’m Janet, I’m the administrator for the Anglican Chaplaincy based at St James in the City Church. I’m new to Liverpool so really excited go get to know the city and students!

In life, we have so many questions, some easy, some difficult, some big, some small – and especially starting university in the midst of a pandemic can bring a lot of big questions! Why am I here? Is there a God? How am I going to get through this – when I’m not living with my mum anymore!

Though I am not a student, I have just moved out of my family home and moved to live with 2 girls in the city of Liverpool so in some ways I know how you feel! I am inviting you to join in an adventure to explore life, faith and meaning. And the best thing about it? It’s online so you can even join from the comfort of your own bed, wherever you are!

What is Alpha?

Alpha is a 10 week programme starting on Monday 12th October (7:15-8:45pm) which looks at the big questions of life and faith. It will help you as you meet new people and discuss each week to consider what life is all about and what Jesus has to do with all this!

Come along, new students, current students, young professionals, parents, adults, whoever you are – you are SO welcome! Even if you’re not in Liverpool, that is the beauty (perhaps the only beauty after 6 months of using it…) of Zoom!

You’re invited!

Check out our facebook page and please do send me an email ([email protected]) if you would like to get involved. We would love you to join us – wherever you’re at on your faith journey. This is for everyone and it’s never been easier to get involved. See you there!
